STAR 102.5’s Nitefall on the River – presented by Veridian Credit Union and sponsored gabus-smby Charles Gabus Ford is a summertime tradition in Des Moines. Enjoy awesome live music in the most picturesque setting in the city. Shows are “all ages” unless noted.

Nitefall F.A.Q.

Where can I purchase tickets?
Advance tickets may be purchased online at ticketfly.com. You can also get advance tickets at Wooly’s (504 E. Locust, Des Moines) M-F 12-5pm and during shows with no service fees (cash only). Day of show tickets are available at the front gate with cash or credit card.

Are children free?
Children 10 and under accompanied by an adult are free.

What payment methods are accepted at the show?
Cash or major credit cards may be used to purchase tickets and drink tickets. Cash only for food.

Can I smoke on the grounds?
Smoking is not allowed anywhere within the Amphitheater grounds. You can smoke outside the grounds and re-enter with your wristband received upon admission.

What drinks and food are available?
Beer, soda, and various foods are available during the shows. Food and drink vendors may vary depending on show.

What if it rains?
There are rain locations for each show. Listen to STAR 102.5 for updates in case of severe weather.

Is re-entry allowed?
Yes, each attendee receives a wristband upon at the admission gate. You can leave and re-enter with your wristband.

What’s the deal with bicycle parking?
Free, monitored bicycle parking is available inside the event grounds. If you bike to the event and park inside, you get a free can of Fat Tire for participating. Just ask about it at the front gate upon arrival.

What can I bring into the show?
Allowed to bring: lawn chairs, blankets, small non-frame backpacks, personal pocket-size point and shoot only cameras, and disposable cameras.

Not allowed to bring: coolers, outside food or beverages, professional photography equipment or SLRs, large frame backpacks, and audio recording devices. All entrants may be subject to a search.

Rules and Regulations

  • No illegal drugs, weapons or fireworks.
  • No pets.
  • No unauthorized vending.
  • Underage drinking is prohibited.
  • Keep the venue grounds clean. Use the marked trash and recycling stations.
  • Smoking is NOT permitted inside the venue grounds.
  • No audio or video taping.

Directions
The Simon Estes Amphitheater is located at 75 E. Locust Street in downtown Des Moines, Iowa.

From I-35N or I-80E
Take I-235E to Penn Ave. exit, take a right off the exit ramp going South. When you reach Locust St. take a right and continue approx. 6 blocks, Simon Estes is on the left hand side of the road, just west of Embassy Suites Hotel.

From I-35S or I-80W
Take I-235W to Penn Ave. exit, take a left off the exit ramp going South. When you reach Locust St. take a right and continue approx. 6 blocks, Simon Estes is on the left hand side of the road, just west of Embassy Suites Hotel.

Parking
Free parking is available after 6:00pm at the parking meters on Walnut Street and Locust Street. City Hall parking lot is also available after 6pm and is located on Robert D. Ray Drive between Locust Street and Grand Avenue, just one block North of the Amphitheater.
