Kurt’s Blog: Do The Zoo…Rhino Style!
Kurt’s Blog: Do The Zoo…Rhino Style!

The kids and I went to the zoo on Tuesday, and the big attraction…the Rhinos! Heck yeah! They were still inside, but they are ready to hit the outdoors soon! They are AWESOME.

The new rhino exhibit/area? Supercool…and the idea of feeding an ostrich? Super cool…although it terrifies my son to his very core (he has a thing with big birds, not a fan yet)…he prefers feeding the goats.

By the way, I had a big moment of panic at the zoo. As we were getting on the train, my phone fell out of my pocket. The entire train ride around the zoo, I was frantically searching the “caboose” for it. No good. We get back to the station, and there it is…my phone…inches away from the railroad track. Whew. I was surprised a wallaby didn’t steal it.

My son has been talking about going on a camel ride…like he hasn’t ridden a camel 3 times in his short little life already, ha ha. The camels were at the Zoo on Tuesday…but Dexter said “No, we wait for mama”. Darn it, I sort of wanted to ride the camel.

I get asked frequently…how many times do you go to the zoo? If the weather is nice? Twice a week.

Kurt’s Words of Wisdom

“You can never have enough garlic in your salsa”.

There ya go.

The 2 best salsas you ask?

1. Pain is Good “Habanero Garlic” Batch No. 37 – Seriously AWESOME, but it can ruin your day.

2. Trader Joes Roasted Garlic Salsa – The garlic in this oozes greatness.

Somebody Please Tell Gwyneth Paltrow NOOOOOOOO!!!

She apparently wants a Pepper Potts Iron Man spin-off movie. Nooooooo!

I’m fine with Pepper…in movies 1 & 2…great…but she became way too much of a focus of this awful Iron Man 3.

By the way, after thinking about it more…I’m lowering my grade of Iron Man 3 from a D+  to a D-.

AWESOME is as AWESOME does!

The "Shake It Off" star has earned $73.5 million from album sales, streaming and publishing revenue and her 1989 world tour - almost double the fortune amassed by country star Kenny Chesney, who is a distant second.
