Kurt’s Blog: A Trip to the Henry Doorly Zoo

First off…this lemur is too sexy not only for the zoo…but for this world.

Here we are at Dino Valley…I asked Dexter, “Do you want to go see dinosaurs?” Oh yes he said…he was so excited. Then he saw this…and we should have just turned back.

You’re welcome for the nightmares Dexter. Sleep tight bud.

But at least we got this fun photo….

Oh wait, let’s zoom in.

Who’s afraid of dinosaurs, right? Certainly not my kids!

Wait, let me get this straight…we have to bypass the Australia exhibit every time we visit the Blank Park Zoo because my son thinks the peacock will attack him, yet he has no problem being face-to-face with a gorilla?

What a blast it was yesterday….and the kids were so well-behaved. They usually start having a meltdown if they don’t get a nap in around 12/12:30…yet, they powered through from 9:30-2ish with no problem. The ride back to Des Moines was quiet…and was nice, Jennifer and I actually got to listen to our music instead of hearing “Handy Manny’s Motorcycle Adventures” playing from the DVD player in the back.

She’s ready for the beach..a run…a night out…Priscilla is always ready.

Did the kids have a good time?┬áThis will sum it up…

Actually, I just told him we could have french fries for lunch. He was very happy with me.

Alright…that’s enough bragging about my family for one week…tomorrow, it’s back to being snarky, back to judging celebrities…and I have a Kanye West list…but didn’t want Kanye West & my family to be associated on the same Blog of AWESOME post (Note: I realized I just did that).
