Good News For Dads

Well, here ya go…a new study in the Journal of Experimental Psychology find that babies prefer having a flabby daddy. Apparently, 9 months old infants shown photos of both chubby and then well-toned dads, the 9 months old showed a marked preference to the fatter of the two dads.

Researchers chalk it up to the tubby male physique baring more of a resemblance to the female body….a conclusion that is sure to tick off a lot of women.

What did I get from this article? Well, first off….eat more, do everything else less, ha ha…and that I need to read the Journal of Experimental Psychology more.

The Jackie Robinson movie “42” is in theaters today…and I think, after work this morning, I will head over to Jordan Creek to check it out. It looks terrific…and even if it’s a movie, it’s good education for all of us, not only baseball fans, to admire the courage, the will, and the strength of the great Jackie Robinson.

Of course, that leads to a list!!

My Favorite Baseball Movies:

(NOTE: I  have NOT seen Bull Durham…which is incredibly shocking and should be rectified).

1. Major League – I think this was one, if not THE, first R-rated movie I saw in theaters…was I only 12 at the time? My mom the liberal, haha!

2. The Sandlot

3. Bad News Bears (the original…but the remake is a lot better than I thought it’d be)

4. The Natural

5. League of Their Own

6. Field of Dreams (I know, kick me out of Iowa…but you know me and my attention span, and this movie lags for me…however, I haven’t seen it since I became a dad, so I might cry at the end, and it might have a whole new meaning to me.)

7. Major League 2

8. Mr. 3000

9. MoneyBall

10. Tiger Town

Who Do You Wanna Do?

Well, according to Details magazine…the “Most Do-Able Celebs” are…

Mila Kunis

Oz the Great and Powerful Premiere

Kate Upton

Jennifer Lawrence

For the ladies…

Ryan Gosling

Zac Efron

and a tie between Adam Levine & Channing Tatum

The Iowa Hawkeye Spring Game

14,000 Hawkeye fans over at Valley Stadium this weekend? It’s a beautiful thing. Step 1…bring the Hawkeyes to Central Iowa…Step 2…find a quarterback.

Step 2 seems to be more difficult.

Ah, the Taste of Vomit in My Mouth

That’s what I experienced when I saw that Bachelor Brad Womack and Bachelorette reject (from Sean’s season) AshLee Frazier are dating. It’s mainly because of Brad…he’s just so botoxy & poserish.

The problem with AshLee? The two capital letters in her first name. That bothers me…oh, and the fact that she was so whiny on the “After the Final Rose” a few months ago.

This Video Kept Making Me Laugh

It’s like if I did an interview with Arnie….just giggling and bad impressions.

Scary Movie 5

How can we be at 5?

Scary Movie 1 is very funny…it was original. It was a parody that actually had some attempt at a storyline.

Since then, #2, #3, #4 are some of the worst movies I’ve ever tried to endure sitting through. I actually passed on 4…and #2 is so, so, so dumb.

The only reason that people are talking about #5 is due to a scene with Charlie Sheen & Lindsay Lohan…which was topical when they filmed it, about 4 months ago. Now, nobody cares.
