Thor

Planet Hollywood NY Presents Zachary Levi

The only thing I really knew about Thor growing up was Vincent D’Onofrio (name probably not spelled right) playing Thor in “Adventures in Babysitting”. However, then I saw the Avengers, and thought Thor (& Loki) were the best parts of the movie.

I hadn’t seen the first Thor movie until Monday, and thought it was absolutely fantastic…it was so good that I want Chris Hemsworth and I to be friends.

With Thor 2 out, I must get out to the theater to see this. More Thor & more Loki. Fantastic!

The Phone is on Life Support

US Cellular has the new Iphone 5s, and not a moment too soon! My phone that I’ve had for the past few years is nearly dead. It’s hanging on as good as it can, but after 2 hours of doing nothing with it, it’s already on half battery. Not good. Plus, for whatever reason, it disagrees with me when I try to make a phone call (as in, it won’t let me 45% of the time).

Oh…the Iphone…oh, how I can’t wait to finally have an Iphone. It looks so nice & pretty.

Perks of Being an Adult

One of my favorite perks? Being able to pick out whatever cereal I want! Giant box of Frosted Flakes…absolutely…maybe a box of Captain Crunch…sure thing. Cookie Crisp? Why not? Who’s going to stop me.

Did I Just Spend 20 Minutes Watching This?
Yes…Yes I did.

Oh, Rod Belding…where had you gone?

Throwback Thursday

On Facebook, I have a strict “I will not participate in Throwback Thursday”…however, I stumbled across a picture that might be just too hard to pass up. Good grief, I was a dork. Here, you can see it here first…

Who Wouldn’t Love a New Wave Christmas?

Erasure has a new album out….it’s a holiday album. Of course it is…those aren’t just chains the Ghost of Marley is wearin’…they’re Chains of Love. (Well, that was a long way to go for a terrible joke).

Black Friday

We can’t call it Black Friday anymore, right? It’s not Black Friday…it’s become a Gray Thursday…with Walmart opening at 6p on Thursday, why not just have them open all day. It’s only a matter of time before somebody jumps to Wednesday.

Boddingtons

A recent trip on Saturday to The Royal Mile reminded me to how much a nice pint of Boddingtons is.

Ginger Spice

Remember Ginger Spice? She came out with a new song…it was called “Half Of You”

Viva Forever VIP night held at the Piccadilly Theatre - Arrivals

…unfortunately for Geri Halliwell, it only sold 393 copies. However, she made lemonade out of that lemon, and personally thanked each person who bought it. Well done.

Catching Fire

This photo was from the “Catching Fire” premiere the other night…what stuck out on this photo to me is how short Peeta/Josh Hutcherson is…I went and looked, and he’s 5’6″.

German premiere of 'Hunger Games: Catching Fire'

In this photo though, he appears 5 foot even.

AWESOME is as AWESOME does!

REVIEW: ‘It Follows’ is the best American horror film in a decade

In this image released by Brigade Marketing, actress Maika Monroe appears in a scene of It Follows, directed by David Robert Mitchell. “It Follows,” has been arguably the buzziest American film at Cannes next to Bennett Miller’s wrestling drama “Foxcatcher,” which boasts a far more famous cast and a major premiere at the Palais des Festival.

"It Follows" is a horror movie worthy of classic comparisons.
