Kurt’s Blog: RIP Ultimate Warrior
Kurt’s Blog: RIP Ultimate Warrior

I’m floored at the news that the Ultimate Warrior passed away yesterday. (Yes, I am floored that he was even still alive this long considering all the problems/altercations he’s had).

On Sunday night, The Ultimate Warrior was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame…an honor well-deserved. I DVRed Raw on Monday night (for the first time in years) based solely on the fact that the Warrior was going to appear…and he did…and he looked great…he sounded great. He seemed totally fine…and delivered a very passionate monologue.

Then, 2 days later…he’s no longer with us.

The Ultimate Warrior was my favorite wrestler growing up…I always picked him over Macho Man & Hulk Hogan. It was the crazy running around the ring…the makeup…the fact that he seemed legitimately crazy…and that entrance music!

If you played that entrance music for me right now…I’d immediately start looking for some ropes to begin violently pulling on.

When Undertaker made Warrior’s face bleed black? That haunted me as a kid?

The spirit of the Ultimate Warrior will run forever!!

RIP Warrior.

AWESOME is as AWESOME does!
