First Off…HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!

(A special happy Mother’s Day to my wonderful wife…thank you for two incredible kids…and for putting up with me on a daily basis. I love you.)

We Didn’t Need Science to Tell Us This

In a recent poll, people were asked to rate different popstars and whether or not they viewed them as favorable & unfavorable.

Chris Brown:

Favorable: 13%

Unfavorable: 57%

Not sure: 30%

Duh…I’ll never understand those that pick “not sure”.

Other notable ones:

Justin Bieber…Favorable: 20%…Unfavorable: 54%

Adele: Favorable: 54%…Unfavorable: 18%

Taylor Swift: Favorable 53%…Unfavorable: 27%

Heck Yeah

I love the new Avril Lavigne song…and think the “flashback” to her Sk8er Boi days was a nice touch.

The Great Gatsby

Our good friend Grae Drake from RottenTomatoes.com says it’s fantastic and we should definitely go see it. I don’t know if this one is for me though…plus, I’ll save my “popcorn lunch” for Star Trek next week.

Of course, Leonardo DiCaprio stars in it…and I know I’ve probably done one already, but let’s re-do it…

Top 7 Leonardo DiCaprio MoviesPremiere of the The Great Gatsby

1. The Departed

2. Catch Me If You Can

3. Inception

4. The Aviator

5. Blod Diamond

6. Shutter Island

7. Man in the Iron Mask

4 Things I’m Really Into Right Now

1. “Inside Amy Schumer” on Comedy Central…hilarious

2. Reruns of “Friends”…the 1995-1998 episodes are still so good…it’s so 90s.

3. Scratch Cupcakery – My wife’s birthday is tomorrow…Happy early birthday sweetheart!…We were thinking cupcakes for the “birthday treat”…so I went to Scratch Cupcakery over there by Jordan Creek. I walked in…and immediately became drunk on the smell of cupcakes (which might be the best way to get drunk ever). I was only going to order 6, but due to be completely overwhelmed with choices, I immediately caved and went with a dozen. The smell alone will keep me coming back….now I really want a cupcake.

4. The Drake University Book Store – While I was at Drake from 1996-2000…I think I owend 2 pieces of Drake clothing…from 2001-2010, about 3-4 articles…just in the past month, I’ve been to the Book Store well over 7 times…and now half my shirts seem to be Drake-related.

Way To Look Incredibly Dated Maxim Magazine

Maxim Magazine’s Hot 100 List came out…and at #69? Monte Teo’s fake girlfriend.

Umm…that story has been over for nearly 4 months now. I’m all for making fun of Notre Dame, but even I’m bored with that story. I’m sure someone in their office got a big high-five for thinking up that.

Mmm….Farmers Market

Tomorrow…Downtown Farmers Market…and here’s what I’m planning on eating…#1…Tacopacalypse (probably 2 tacos there)…#2…La Mie (one pastry…croissants for kids)…#3…Dos Rios breafast bowl….#4…random cookie…#5…Rangoon of some nature.

At least I’m walking while eating, that cancels it all out, right?

AWESOME is as AWESOME does!

REVIEW: ‘It Follows’ is the best American horror film in a decade

In this image released by Brigade Marketing, actress Maika Monroe appears in a scene of It Follows, directed by David Robert Mitchell. “It Follows,” has been arguably the buzziest American film at Cannes next to Bennett Miller’s wrestling drama “Foxcatcher,” which boasts a far more famous cast and a major premiere at the Palais des Festival.

"It Follows" is a horror movie worthy of classic comparisons.
