Kurt’s Blog: Want to Help Me?

As you are well aware…I’m a bowler (although, I don’t think I’ve bowled since last year’s Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Central Iowa Bowl For Kids’ Sake event)…so there’s probably some rust.

I am trying to raise some funds/money to help support Big Brothers & Big Sisters for this year’s event. If you have a couple of bones to spare, I would appreciate the support.

Here is the link to my personal page to help raise money!

I appreciate it so much, thank you!

Insanity

Well, the soreness hit big time this morning…holy cow. It…um…it hurts. If I weren’t doing this with my wife, I would have quit last night…2 days, that’s good enough for me. Ha!

Pirates of the Carribean 5

Why are they making this? They should have stopped at 1…we’re approaching “Saw”-like territory here. Here’s a storyline that doesn’t make any sense…it’s incredibly convoluted, but since you saw the previous ones, we’re hoping you’re going to go see this one too (and we will).

I could not make it through #4. It was so boring. I loved the first Pirates movie, I think it’s almost a perfect movie…but then they just lost their way.

VotefortheWorst.com

One of my favorite websites during American Idol season, this website would ruthless in its attack on Idol…and it’s going to be no more. The reason is brilliant. The creator of the website has said that since Idol has lost its relevance, there’s no need for a website mocking it. Love it.

Yo Gabba Gabba Tonight

Yo Gabba Gabba at the Civic Center tonight! My son, Dexter, and I are going…and yes, I splurged and bought the party package, so he’ll get to meet Brobee after the show. My apologies to my daughter…when you turn two Priscilla, I will  take you to whatever princess-themed event comes to town.

What? I’m shocked you even asked…of course he and I are going to wear matching Brobee t-shirts? I’ll post a picture later this evening.

AWESOME is as AWESOME does!

In this image released by Brigade Marketing, actress Maika Monroe appears in a scene of It Follows, directed by David Robert Mitchell. “It Follows,” has been arguably the buzziest American film at Cannes next to Bennett Miller’s wrestling drama “Foxcatcher,” which boasts a far more famous cast and a major premiere at the Palais des Festival.

"It Follows" is a horror movie worthy of classic comparisons.
