Downtown Earth Day Tour

Circus Circus, a star-studded fundraiser to benefit the Aerial Expo, takes the stage April 25 in Des Moines, Iowa at the Garden Nightclub.

Featuring acts ranging from acrobats to circus performers to aerialists, this year’s Circus Circus showcase promises to be bigger and better than ever. Audiences will enjoy dancing, singing, and high-flying aerial acts from talented local performers. Special guests from around the Midwest will perform on trapeze, dance in the air, and showcase a breathtaking variety of circus skills.

Tickets are currently on sale through ticketleap.com. General admission seats are available for $15 advance or $20 at the door, while reserved VIP seats are available for $25. The show is open to ages 21 and up.

DMACC Fashion Show 2015

Passion for Fashion is a benefit fashion show that will showcase signature looks from local and national retailers. Presented by Christopher’s Fine Jewelry, it is the signature fundraising event for Dress for Success Des Moines, a local non-profit organization that helps disadvantaged women obtain and retain employment. New this year are the INSPIRE Awards given to two local businesswomen who go above and beyond to contribute to the Des Moines community. The fun starts at Noon, when you and your friends and family can enjoy FREE entertainment, kids’ activities, and food samples from Jordan Creek-area restaurants.  At 2:00pm, thousands of yellow rubber ducks will race through the lake at Jordan Creek Town Center, all vying to cross the finish line first and be named Top Duck. You can adopt a duck (or a whole flock!) and cheer it on to victory and the chance to win fantastic prizes, including $10,000 cash!
