Cookie Walk & Gingerbread House Tour

December 6, 2014 - 9:00 am - 12:00 pm at

Point of Grace church will open their doors to the public for our 6th Annual Cookie Walk!  Saturday, December 6 from 9AM to Noon.  Our church atrium will fill with people of all ages.  Each person will be handed a box to fill with their favorite cookies.  They will be directed to follow a path of tables displaying a variety of delicious, attractive, homemade cookies on beautiful trays.  At the end of the walk, they will place their box of cookies on the scale to determine how many pounds it weighs.  The cookies are then purchased for $6 per pound (POG has never raised their price!)  All proceeds will benefit The Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity and Fishers of Men Ministries.  To bring awareness for the work these two organizations do to build for those in need in the metro and abroad, Point of Grace members built gingerbread houses to be toured at the event – the public will be invited to vote their favorite!  Free hot beverages, free face painting and free Kid’s Cookie Decorating is there to enjoy while listening to the Waukee High School Acapella Singers Carole Christmas songs.  Come Enjoy the festivities!  Free Entry!
