The Boone & Scenic Valley Railroad’s Santa Express departs from our depot in Boone, travel to the “North Pole” & return. On board, you will: Sing Christmas carols – Hear the story of “Santa’s Scenic Valley Ride” – Be served hot chocolate and a cookie – Meet Santa, and receive a silver bell & more! This journey has become a family tradition. This year, we hope that you will join us for an enchanting trip aboard the Santa Express. November 29 & 30; December 3-7, 10-14. Weeknight trains depart at 6pm; Saturday trains depart at 10:30am, 1pm, 3:30pm & 6pm. Please be sure to arrive at least one hour prior to departure. Those arriving close to departure time are unlikely to be able to sit together as a group. Trains will not be held for late arrivals! Ride may last anywhere from an hour & 15 minutes – hour & 30 minutes, depending upon how long it takes for Santa to greet the passengers. These trains offer coach-class seating only. Caboose and Valley View cars are not available.
