What can you do for Halloween?
What can you do for Halloween?

First of all I have to give props to my amazing Mother-In-Law, who outdid herself with Rhiannon’s costume this year. She made a giraffe costume. Amazing!

It is the coolest!

Now I want to give props to Homemakers! This is the second year that we have gone out there for an evening of safe trick or treating. The event was last night, so it is over for this year…but I’m telling you NOT to miss it next year. There were close to 20 different locations for the kids to get their treats, and I love that it was a huge variety! One of Rhi’s favorite things she got last night was a Halloween toothbrush and a tooth necklace! From bags of chips, to passes to The Blank Park Zoo, and animal crackers….they just did it right. And they made it free. So Homemakers–two thumbs up to you for another fabulous job!

Tonight I will be at another of our favorite events–NIGHT EYES at the Blank Park Zoo! This is a tradition for us and we love going. I will be there handing out bags as you walk in so please say hi! If you can’t make it tonight, the event runs through Sunday so make it a point to bring your kids out to this merry, not scary, Halloween event!

Now how about a little treat for the adults? East Village Spa has Spalloween coming up on October 29 from 4:30-7:30! I am going this year! Here is how it works….you can savor some seasonal delights, sip a cocktail and help The Pet Project Midwest in the process! They will offer mini services like Halloween polish changes, mini Halloween mask facials and chair massages for a $10-$15 donation. And you can big on a few silent auction items.

I’m going to be honest here…I adore East Village Spa. I love The Pet Project Midwest. Put the two together and it’s a no brainer for me! I’m in. So I will be there. Check it out at 601 E. Locust #202.

Then next week we have trick or treating at Valley West Mall, and Jordan Creek Town Center. I love it!
