Who wants to join me for the Metro Arts Rock N Run?
Who wants to join me for the Metro Arts Rock N Run?

Most of you realize I am a huge fan of live music. Put several bands together and you can convince me to do the Metro Arts Rock N Run. I am doing this. Who wants to join me?

Let me tell you the scoop. It’s a 5K walk or run which is taking place September 21st in Clive. The route will have 9 very different bands scattered on it. Bands like The Nadas, Decoy, Tropical Steel, It’s Complicated and so many more. So you can walk (or run) for a little bit, then stop and listen to a band. Catch your breath and take off again! So every half mile there will be a band there for your enjoyment or in my case…motivation!

This is so cool! This whole Rock N Run benefits The Metro Arts Alliance. 100% of the proceeds go back to this organization that benefits Art Education Programs throughout the Des Moines Metro. They are even inviting you to Run Like A Rockstar…dress up as your favorite rock star during the event for a chance to win some great prizes.

Pre-register now HERE. I’ll even help you save $5 on your registration fee when you enter the promo code STARROCKS!

I’m doing this! I need a reason to get off my butt and get motivated to exercise. Throw some live music at me, let me where sweatpants and I’m in! Oh, and there is a beer garden at the end of the race! ┬áBut again, I’m WALKING.
