Singer Solange Knowles returned to the spotlight in New York City on Monday night for the first time since her headline-grabbing fight with Jay Z last month.

BeyoncĂ©’s younger sister became headline news following the leak of security camera footage which showed her lashing out at the rapper as they left a party at The Standard Hotel after the Met Gala in the Big Apple.

The pair has since apologized to each other over the incident and tried to keep a low profile, but Knowles braved the press and photographers at the Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards on Monday.

Wearing a revealing silver dress, the 27-year-old briefly posed for snappers, but did not stop to talk to reporters covering the event.
