Mich. couple hands out $1 bills to strangers

WYOMING, Mich. (AP) — Call it “reverse panhandling.”

A couple handed out cash this past weekend at an intersection in Wyoming, Mich.

Riley and Hermi Combs held up a sign that read: “No, I am not homeless. I am not hungry. Can I give you a dollar?”

And they did.

WOOD-TV reports the Grandville couple handed out 100 $1 bills to people driving by.

Their daughter, Ami Walker, says it wasn’t the first time they handed out gifts to random strangers.

According to Walker, her parents also once gave out 31-day bus passes.

She says they “do it for fun to get to know people.”
