Meet Jazmin (22) and Bethany (22) from Ames.

How long have you been a couple?
2.5 years

How did you meet?
We met in freshman year of college, Jazmin is a big foodie and was eager to make new friends. She saw, a girl with red hair and thought “man, that cake she has is a great choice. Champagne cake is also my favorite.” Jazmin then went up to Bethany and asked if she wanted to sit with her. Bethany said yes, they then became friends. Then, they became roommates and the rest is history. They have been lovers for 2.5 years now and best friends for life for the past 5 years.

What was your first date?
We went to a pirate festival together in Iowa, we loved hanging out together and had many laughs. That was the first true bonding experience we had with feelings for one another and pathed a gold path for the future.

Which one of you is more excited to get married on the radio?
Probably Jazmin because she is the romantic one of us both. Jazmin has read so many romance books that it might scare someone, but I love her nonetheless. It would definitely be a dream for her, and it would be a dream for me to marry her.

Why aren’t you married yet?
Money. Easy and simple as that.

What was the moment you knew they were “the one”?
We lived together in Iowa City for 3 months for the first time alone and just us. Having the chance to truly wake up next to each other and have our lives combined in a way that was impossible before and was new, was the moment we both knew we loved each other and wanted it to last forever.
