Hi! My name is Aria. I am 13 years old & I am asking everyone that sees or hears this message to join me in helping carry on a precious little girl named Alex dream of helping find a cure for childhood cancer. Alex was diagnosed with cancer just before she turned 1, but she didn’t let this stop her. At just 4 years old, Alex told her parents she wanted to do her own lemonade stand & give the money to doctors to help them find a cure for childhood cancer. Alex continued to host lemonade stands every year until she unfortunately lost her battle with cancer at just 8 years old. Her unselfishness while dealing with her own fatal disease helped inspire others across the country to create their own lemonade stands to raise funds for a childhood cancer cure. To honor her memory Alex’s parents created the non profit organization formally known as the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. Every year in June, the month 4 year old Alex held her 1st lemonade stand, across the country, during “Lemonade Days” lemonade stands are set up in Alex’s honor with proceeds going to childhood cancer research. My goal for my Alex’s Lemonade Stand this year is $2,500. $2,500 funds one week of childhood cancer research & I’m hoping to meet or surpass my goal with your help so that we can kick childhood cancer’s butt! If you can’t make it out to my stand on June 1st this year don’t let that stop you. You can donate online on my page at Alex’s Lemonade Stand dot com. Just search for my page by typing in my zip code 50501 & click on Aria’s 1st Annual Alex’s Lemonade Stand, then click donate. Donate in honor of those brave little kids like Alex, who lost their fight to childhood cancer. Donate for those kid’s who continue to battle childhood cancer courageously every single day. Every little bit helps. We hope one day a cure will be found.
