Polk and Dallas Soil and Water Conservation Districts are teaming together to provide a classroom style field day at the Dallas County Fairgrounds – Cover Crops 101: Growing Cover Crops for the First Time.

The event is held March 3rd at the ISU Extension building from 9am to 11:45am. Speakers include fifth generation farmer and NRCS Soil Health Specialist, JD Hollingsworth, and ISU Ext Field Agronomist, Meaghan Anderson.

Learn about planting methods, species, and termination. Dig in to the benefits and how cover crops can be profitable. Sign up for funding (up to $30/ac) and meet with local vendors.
