Join us for March’s First Friday at Mainframe Studios – a vibrant evening celebrating art, creativity, and community.

Mainframe Studios is excited to welcome the community to a special First Friday in partnership with Des Moines Public Schools on Friday, March 6, from 5-8 PM. Experience a district-wide student art exhibition featuring work by hundreds of DMPS students representing 60 schools and special programs, displayed across three gallery floors.

This inspiring evening highlights the creativity and talent of young artists while celebrating the important role art plays in building confidence, curiosity, and the next generation of creative leaders in Des Moines.

Guests can also enjoy open studios, delicious food and beverages, live music by Sarah Tonin, and drop in movement sessions with Creative Network.

Open Studios: Mainframe is home to more than 180 studios, and during First Friday, visitors are invited to explore open art spaces throughout the building. Meet local artists and see their creative processes in action for a behind-the-scenes look at how the work is made.

First Friday events at Mainframe Studios are family-friendly, free, and open to the public. Expanded overflow parking and a complimentary shuttle make getting here easy.
