Kurt’s Blog: Flag Football for a Great Cause

We are in the thick of football season…but maybe it’s time for us football fans to stop watching, and start playing! Whoo hoo!

Check this out!

homecoming

First off…a great cause right off the bat….then you throw on top of that flag football, bouncey houses, tailgate games…and chili…and you have one fantastic event!

The YMCA is testing this concept in only a few areas of the country, and we are one of them.  It’s not a homeless shelter, we provide permanent supportive housing and services (ie: case management, rental subsidy, pantries, programs/classes, etc.) to help individuals who want to become contributing citizens in our community and transition OUT OF HOMELESSNESS.

The event theme is Homecoming….because “Everyone deserves a place to come home to.”
