Warning: This is going to be a lot of “I’m so proud of my daughter”.
Over the weekend, Priscilla and I embarked on our first out-of-state soccer tournament down in Kansas City.
She was so excited about this…when we started up JUSC Academy in August, this was her dream…an out-of-state tournament…and the hope and dreams of being the team that “DOMINATED THE HOTEL POOL”. Which they did…both nights. LOL
This team was…and is…something special. Watching these 2nd & 3rd graders come together…work so hard…play so hard…and enjoy the experience together was incredible & heartwarming.
Priscilla proclaimed this weekend “Best Weekend Ever”…the amount of fun…and friendships she made will never be forgotten!

They won the first two games…and then fell just short in a heartbreaker of a championship game. To see them each walk off the field together…tears in their eyes…was heartbreaking. I think they realized how special of a team they are, and how much they love playing with each other and counting on each other.

(and super thanks to Kristin for taking these awesome action shots of Priscilla…apparently, Priscilla can only play with a Michael Jordan tongue hangin’ out)
Am I ready for spending every weekend traveling now? Last Thursday I would have said “maybe”…but now, it’s a big heck yes 🙂
Congrats Priscilla…Congrats JUSC U9 Sky Blue…you made all of us parents so proud…and can’t wait to see where the future takes you!

Monday morning, when Priscilla woke up, she looked at me and said “Do you know what’s weird? We don’t have soccer today”. Don’t worry, indoor Futsal starts in less than a month, lol.
A huge thank you to the coaches for all their hard work, and dedication, to make a team like this come together.
I’m proud of my daughter not because she continually impresses me on the soccer field…but just for having that willingness to be bold, to be silly, and to be a reliable teammate and friend to her…well, friends, and teammates. That was on the path to being something wise and inspirational…but fell flat. haha!
