I love playlists….I plan them out…I take pride of them. My favorite playlist while jogging lately has been entitled “90s Favs”.
Real simple concept…it’s about 150 songs from the 90s that I’ve never tired of….there are 10 songs that keep popping up lately that instantly put me back in my 90s self. (although, I’m not running nearly as fast as my 90s self…I don’t remember my 90s self asking myself while running “Am I going to throw up?”?)

(NOTE: I did not include any Pearl Jam on this list, because it’s a foregone conclusion that every one of their songs (well, except Oceans) will never become tiresome.
1. Paperboy – Ditty
This is one of my favorite songs of all time…all time! Side note: I have spent a good 20 minutes of my life over the past 5 days looking for a “Ditty” t-shirt…they do not exist.

Wait…you mean, I can join the band and not have musical talent? All I have to do is dance? I can dance…well, I can thrash around.
By the way, I just noticed that Beyonce’s “All the Single Ladies” stole the entire look of this video. Kanye…we await your apology.
4. En Vogue – Free Your Mind
Still rocks…still relevant.

It’s like REM-lite…I like songs where they count.

This video is total disillusioned 1990s youth…in a forest…with flannel…shaky camera…weird “swipe” effects.
8. Jon Secada – I’m Free
Oh, to have a time machine and go back and be there on the street when Jon was filming this video. Hey kids, back in 1992, I got a high five from Jon Secada.

James…I know very little about you…but you seem to be an odd bird.
10. Shai – Baby I’m Yours
To my wife: If we decide to throw another wedding, could this be our wedding song?
Oh, and yes, you get strange looks from fellow joggers when they pass you while you’re singing Shai.
