Kurt’s Blog: 20 Sure-Fire Grammy Predictions

The Grammys are Sunday night on KCCI….and here are my predictions:

1 – Lorde will win a lot…and her acceptance speeches will remind us of when Fiona Apple won way back when. “What was Lorde talking about?” will be a common question Monday morning.

2 – The camera will catch Taylor Swift dancing 14 times throughout the broadcast….something like this…

3 – Taylor Swift & Katy Perry will both look fantastic.

4 – I’m hoping Katy Perry will do “Roar” or “Dark Horse”…but I have the feeling that Katy will belt out a ballad.

5 – Christina Aguilera will be there…we won’t know why.

6 – Miranda Lambert will never be more than 2 feet away from Blake Shelton at all times.Playin' Possum! The Final No Show Tribute to George Jones

7 – LL Cool J will make 5 “twerking” jokes

8 – The first twerk joke will involve a quick shot of Robin Thicke in the audience.

9 – That quick shot of Robin Thicke will also include his wife next to him…not laughing.

10 – Macklemore will be the show-stopping performance of the night.

11 – Macklemore will take home the most awards….and his acceptance speeches will be uplifting & motivating.

12 – On the Red Carpet, Guiliana Rancic & Sway will ask “Who would you like to collaborate with?” approximately 50 times.

13 – The question “Who are you most excited to see tonight?” will be most frequently answered with “Gosh, there’s just so many…”

14 – Kacey Musgraves will win…and I will become a fan…and I’ll continue to think her and Lea Michele are twins.

47th Country Music AwardsELLE celebrates the 20th annual Women in Hollywood

15 – Paul McCartney & Ringo Starr will be something special…and I’m really hoping there’s no hologram of George & John.

16 – Bruno Mars’ performance will be more entertaining than Beyonce’s…but no one will admit it.

17 – There will be a Justin Timberlake cameo at some point…I’m thinking with Jay-Z…but have no proof.

18 – Pink & Nate Reuss of Fun. will be tremendous…and perhaps the best vocal performance of the night.

19 – When Robin Thicke plays “Blurred Lines”…I will use that 4 minutes to go to the bathroom…brush my teeth…check on kids.

20 – 2 swears will get through the censors…one of which will be by Lorde.

It’ll be a great show!

AWESOME is as AWESOME does!
