Strep Sucks

My wife has it…my daughter has some bug that’s strep-related…it sucks.

Wow…what a platform. Strep throat sucks. I really went out on a limb on that one.

Thank You Technology

Due to the lack of technology that was available at the time, I thought that some of my more forgettable moments would have remained that way. Nope…and I have the friends to help bring them back up.

This is circa 2002…

I was moving my 1993 Chevy Blazer (a.k.a. “The Diesel”…which did not actually run on diesel, but just smelled that way)…out of my friend’s driveway, and onto the street.

I did not succeed. I got stuck on some ice…floored it…lost traction, ran over (& demolished) my friend’s mailbox, and ended up in the ditch. Of course, my friends here this…and run out with a video camera…and just yesterday, this pic showed up on my Facebook feed.

Push ya idiots…PUSH! Put your backs into it. 10 minutes later, 3 sore backs, 1 destroyed mailbox, and 1 yelling Kurt blaming Osama Bin Laden for this…the Diesel was free.

Sheriff Callie

For 4 months…my 3 year-old son has been running up to me and yelling “record it, record it please” every time a promo for Disney Jr.’s new show “Sheriff Callie’s Wild West” appeared on  screen.

Well, yesterday was the day…and it did NOT disappoint. My son & daughter both loved it…and heck, so did I. Will this overtake Paw Patrol? Possibly!

I’m Learning New Things?

When it comes to any knowledge of eating healthy, I’m dumb. I saw an article about “how sugar-free gummy bears are an extremely effective laxative”…I laughed it off…thought it was a joke. I shared this with my wife & a few others, and they just stared at me (like the idiot I am), and informed me that yes, 99% of the sugar-free things are laxative-esque. Cue the NBC tones…the more you know.

This Is What I Wanted 

As soon as Seahawks CB Richard Sherman had his passionate post-game interview (for the record, I love it…and I’m not a fan of his, but I need storylines to get me through to the Super Bowl)…I wanted this…and the Internet responded to my pleas.

Harboring

I came to the conclusion over the weekend that I’m still harboring anger over the final episodes of Lost. That can’t be healthy, right? 3-4 years of harboring? Over that show? Ugh.

A Great Big World’s new album is out today…”Say Something” is such a great song…and am looking forward to hearing more from them.

Kacey Musgraves

I should make more stupid New Years Resolutions more often….if you add A Great Big World to my list of Bastille…and The Bad Suns…and then you throw on Kacey Musgraves, I’m already 80% to my goal of jumping on the bandwagon of 5 bands in 2014. Plus, she’s an opener for Katy Perry? Even more excellent!
