Kurt’s Blog: Adventureland’s Hidden Gem

Yesterday was our first annual “Day of Adventure” that we do with 2 other friends of ours…8 kids…6 parents…7+ hours…and it was AWESOME.

I wake up this morning sunburnt…exhausted…and craving Adventureland’s hidden gem.

ad1I had always seen the little shop…but never had actually tried it…but our friend Lora said “whatever we do today, can we make sure we get a gyro…they’re the best here”.

She was right…barring a gyro you might be able to get outside of a bar at 2am (those are always amazing)….the gyros at Adventureland are fantastic.

The little eatery is right outside the River City Food Plaza (probably not the real name, I was too caught up in gyro goodness to pay attention, sorry)….it’s right across from Raging River…right before you cross the bridge to get to Adventure Bay.

They make them on the spot…and they’re so fresh that I had to wait a few minutes for it to cool off. So…good. I want one right now.

The Tzatziki (spell-checked it) was fantastic…the lamb was great…the pita was hot and toasty…the onions were grilled up perfect. I only had one…but could have had 3. Nay…4.

Mmm…gyros.
