Happy Sips & the City Day
Tonight is Sips & the City over at Nollen Plaza…one, if not THE, best Friday night in Des Moines. My wife, especially, could not be more excited. She’s the wine “snob” of the family…I just know what’s red…and what’s white.
Let’s just get it a little warmer outside this evening please! I prefer my drinking of wine in shorts please.
I’d put my list of favorite wines…but I have no recollection of their names…but I like the white wines…and rosas…if it’s fruity, I like it…I know, manly.
Vince Vaughn
I really want to convince myself that I will like “The Internship” with Vince Vaughn & Owen Wilson. “Wedding Crashers” is one of my favorite movies…it’s just a perfect comedy. My heart tells me that re-teaming them up again will provide nothing but movie magic, but then I think back to Starsky & Hutch, and my brain tells me to have doubts. These are the life decisions I’m wrestling with today.

As a “Duck Father”
Mama Duck has taken up full residence in our backyard. She’s been on her eggs continously for the past two days. The hatching of eggs is definitely going to be happening sometime in the next week or so.
I thought I was ready to be a father to these ducks…but then I saw this news story

Am I ready to go into storm drains to rescue baby ducks? The answer? Yes. I’m ready to embrace this challenge. I’ve been Googling a lot…I mean, a lot!
Holy cow, the cuteness of baby ducks in our backyard might just be too much to handle!

Our son & daughter are both way into Disney Jr.’s Doc McStuffins right now. That just might be the most adorable show on television. A lamb that cuddles? A grumpy snowman? Stuffy the Dragon? The hippo nurse? I want to take them all home.
