Had a blast Saturday morning with the Fort Des Moines Hot Rods Little League team. They were the winners of our “Big Ken & Colleen I-Cubs to the Rescue Contest”…

Big thanks to the Iowa Cubs…and Pitchers Dallas Beeler & Kyle Hendricks. They were incredible with the kids, and all involved had a great time.

Even better, we beat Saturday’s monsoon by 2 minutes.

Good times as well was had at Sips in the City on Friday night. Loved the State Historical Building as the location…thought it was much easier to get around, and just seemed better (that’s great marketing right there…”Kurt, your thoughts please?” “It was better.”)

Wanted to give a shout out to Brad as well for the picture he took Friday night…this should be the new Winefest logo from now on.

Although this will only provide more ammunition for my friends to use against me…I’m very much looking forward to the Cher/Cyndi Lauper concert tonight.
