…and your incredibly addictive, soulful melodies.
Toy Story & Toy Story 3 are big at our house right now…not Toy Story 2, though, Dexter doesn’t like Zurg…but now he sort of likes Zurg, but only because Zurg has a gun that shoots ping pong balls.
Of course, Dexter likes the songs of Toy Story as well, so we have a few of the songs on a disc we can listen to in the car.
Holy cow, I am Randy Newman-ed out! Between the “Sunnyside Song”, (which is “We Belong Together”), and “You’ve Got a Friend In Me”….I can take no more Randy Newman. I now know the words to more Randy Newman songs than I ever thought I would.
Of course, I father up…and I sing-a-long every time.
Okay, it’s true…I like the songs…hence, darn you Randy Newman.
Whenever I think Randy Newman, though, all I can think of is Mad TV’s Will Sasso parodying him…

The picture at the top of the page was from One Republic’s tour bus…we had just done a shot of brandy with Ryan Tedder. (Note: That was the night that I came to the conclusion that I don’t enjoy brandy).
This pic is from about a year or so later when OR was here in Des Moines…Jennifer is preggers with Dexter in this pic, and the song “Good Life” (by One Republic) was her “Pregnancy Song”.
One Republic has always been one of our favorite bands…Jennifer loves their songs (I do too)…and, like I said, it was the soundtrack to Jennifer’s pregnancy with Dexter. The soundtrack to Jennifer’s pregnancy with Priscilla? hmm….I think it was mainly Dexter screaming, ha ha.
Their new album “Native” is out today…so, in honor….
