Kurt’s Blog: Here are 2 Things That I Just Can’t Figure Out

I know we lose an hour of sleep…but I can not wait to “spring forward“. My kids wake up at 6 (hopefully)…now, that means it’ll be 7. It just seems better.

This is the photo I am most proud of…I took it in 1997 (so no digital camera). It’s my buddy, Iggy, cliffjumping a Lake Red Rock. If I had the negative still…I’d enter it in photo contests.

Yes, I’m torn…in this Miley Cyrus v. Katy Perry fight. I can’t choose…don’t force me.

I can’t figure out wine. It all tastes the same to me…and I don’t understand why they use super sharp foil to seal the bottle? I sliced my thumb yesterday….it’s just one of about 20 injuries I’ve suffered through wine. (well, 75 injuries if you include what wine does to me after drinking it)

Oh, and while we’re mentioning things I can’t figure out…how the heck do I get my quarter back at Aldi’s? I was stumped for a good 5 minutes yesterday.

Off next week…so I thought I’d catch up on some really good movies…like the Thor sequel, 12 Years a Slave….unfortunately, I am already off-track. My selection for today was “Escape Plan“, starring Sly Stallone & Ahnold S. You know, the Oscar winning film Escape Plan?

Cats + Jurassic Park = Fantasticness

8/7 Central came out with this shirt…and I had to have it. Bob Costas said this quote (because the Olympic curling team had a few ties to Drake)…and thus was created my official Drake Relays 2014 T-shirt. Most AWESOME!

Oh, this image of Brett Favre must be explained to me. It’s not the facial hair, because, whatever…we men experiment with facial hair…but the arms?

I’m glad that the real story came out regarding the Andrew Garfield/Batkid/Oscar fiasco. He didn’t bail on Batkid…instead it was cut from the Oscars due to a “logistics of production” issue…and Garfield actually took Batkid & his family to Disneyland the next day. Nice move!

Colleen just reminded me of something great…it might be 50 this weekend….and Dairy Queen has “Buy one Blizzard…get a second for 99 cents.” Done & done.

Wait? Bruno Mars‘ real name is Peter Gene Bayot Hernandez? There’s a random fact for today.

300: Rise of an Empire….and Mr. Peabody & Sherman both look like terrific movies.

AWESOME is as AWESOME does!
