My cat, Sammy, is going to win me some big-time $$ in the NCAA bracket pools this year. His philosophy is simple. Pick cat teams….don’t pick dog teams…if the team is a bird…pick the bird team…cats like birds…if neither applies…pick the team that is most cat-friendly.

Sammy did finish 2nd one year out of 40+ entries. Of course, he’s also finished dead last a few times as well.

By the way…picking the Hawkeyes over Umass would have bee nice…arrgh.

So glad Fran McCaffery’s son’s surgery was successful, I can’t even imagine the stress of yesterday for that entire family.

I watched 12 Years a Slave last week…and I’m still affected by it. Absolutely incredible…definitely deserved the Oscar. I thought Matthew McConaughey was brilliant in “Dallas Buyers Club”…but after seeing Chiwetel Ejiofor’s performance, I think he should have come home with the Best Actor Oscar.

I’ve come to the conclusion…I don’t understand Wes Anderson movies. Rushmore…Aquatic Life of Steve Zissou…this Grand Budapest Hotel? No interest. All I know is that once Bill Murray started doing Wes Anderson movies, Bill Murray has become increasingly less funny.

I also don’t understand Skrillex.

Finally got to see Frozen in its entirety…and no surprise here…loved it. Olaf might just be the sweetest thing ever.

My life used to be filled with sticky-post-it notes. I would have 3 different ones in my pockets all the time. It’s just my way of keeping track of everything. Now, I bought the Sticky Note App for $4.99. It’s much more efficient.

Not nearly as impactful (obviously) as “12 Years of Slave”, but the Stallone/Schwarzenegger flick “Escape Plan” was much more enjoyable than I thought it’d be.

Oh, do you know what movie sucked? I mean, sucked? I mean was absolutely, without a doubt, terrible? Hangover 3. I knew going into it that it wasn’t going to be good…but where were the laughs? That was terrible.
