Kurt’s Blog: It’s About Time for This Band To Reunite

Monte Teo

Somewhere, a daytime soap opera producer has to be facepalming himself over not thinking about this crazy story. It just gets better & better with every passing day.

Now his teammates are coming forward and saying that they even doubted the girlfriend existing. This is nutso.

I just love the whole complexity of it, while still appreciating the simplicity of it. Create a fake girlfriend…and when it starts to get too “real”…kill her off…mourn her death…play a good game…become a national sensation.

I’m glad that the stories about the girl whose photo was used in the online posts are finally coming out. That girl (who did nothing wrong except have a nice profile picture) is going to be in line for a lot of media attention as well.

Oh, and the guy behind the hoax (not named Monte Teo…by the way, am I even spelling his name right? I don’t even know…I just type “teo” in Google and go from there)…apparently even made up some weird, hearbreaking story/lie to make it on the The Voice? So weird.

Kris Kross Reuniting

Nothing more to say here…time to turn my Starter baseball jersey button-down backwards. Done & done. As long as they play the hits, I’m good with that…nobody needs “new” Kris Kross.

Now the question remains, what ever happened to the Mack Daddy & the Daddy Mack?

(Note: For the first month “Jump Jump” was out, I thought Kris Kross had something to do with bras…I don’t know why…I think it was the line “Make that Kris Kross come off flat”…and there was a big push on criss-cross bras at the time)…oh, and apparently, I was a nerd. I am a dum-dum sometimes.

I’m Back to Reading

I’m reading Stephen Hunter’s “3rd Bullet”. If you combine a good story with a JFK conspiracy, you know I’m on board. Heck, you can even eliminate the good story…just give me the conspiracy theory (Note: I am very pleased that this novel has a good storyline to go with it).

U2’s New Possible Album Title

“10 Reasons To Exist”…weird title. Unless there’s only 10 songs on the album, and then each song is a reason to exist. That would work, otherwise, very weird.

A Very Funny Podcast I Enjoy

If you’re looking for a funny podcast, try out “Dead Authors Podcast” with the Comedian Paul F. Tompkins. He plays a time-traveling HG Wells, and he brings along with other comedians portraying authors. The intent to be serious always leads to hilarity.

Mark Wahlberg

My wife has a crush on Mark Wahlberg…many women do…I’m totally fine with it. He’s just slightly stronger than I am…mainly in the abs area. His new movie “Broken City” is out today, and it looks pretty good. A lot of his movies are really good actually. Am I fan? Holy cow, I think I have.

I feel like I have to like Mark Wahlberg, for you’re to speak ill of him, there’s a 13% chance he will show up at your doorstep, and punch you in the face.

Top 10 Mark Wahlberg Movies

1. Boogie Nights

2. Perfect Storm

3. The Departed

4. The Fighter

5. Rock Star

6. Ted

7. Fear

8. 3 Kings

9. The Italian Job

10. The Other Guys
Worst Mark Wahlberg movie?
Easy, “The Happening”…it sucks…sucks sucks sucks. Maybe the worst movie ever.

Carrie Underwood

Carrie Underwood admitted something that I actually mentioned on the Blog about a month ago after her concert here. She wears shorts under all of our her outfits & dresses to ensure no Anne Hathaway from happening. Well done to you Carrie. I applaud this effort…it keeps Carrie still incredibly sexy while at the same time classy.
