Yo Gabba Gabba Live
Last night was “Yo Gabba Gabba Live” at the Civic Center, and it was AWESOME. You either know Yo Gabba Gabba or you don’t…it’s too tough to explain.
Here, I’ll try…there’s DJ Lance, right, and he has 5 friends who live in Gabba Land…Toodee, Brobee, Muno, Foofa, and Plex the Magic Robot. They play together and are great friends. Plus, rapper Biz Markie (you remember him, Oh Baby, you, you got what I need…you say she’s just a friend) does Biz’ Beat of the Day. On the show, they will feature other musical acts as well…like Devo, The Aquabats, etc….and have celebs guest-star as well (Weird Al, Jack Black, Sugarland).
It’s pure craziness in the best way…and they love to dance and move to the music.
Last night was a Daddy/Dexter Night Out…and he loved it. He was dancing on the chair, the floor, on me…we had a blast. He definitely got the “Sillies Out”. Highlights were definitely “Party in my Tummy”, and “Don’t Be Afraid”.

By the way, Dexter’s picture with Brobee (The green one), might be the happiest smile we’ve ever captured on film. And yes, I was the only one who tracked (okay, stalked) Biz Markie’s every move after the show, and found him in the lobby and got a picture with him as well.
It was a great night…and I owe my daughter big time.
Next time Princesses on Ice, or Beauty & the Beast, or Cinderella, or anything like that comes to Des Moines…get ready little Priscilla, it’s a Daddy/Daughter night!
