Kurt’s Blog: Mega Menace Fan!

I had friends that graduated from Drake that went on to play for the Menace (Seth Modersohn, Eric & Kirk Wilson)…but I had never been to a game, what a mistake that was.

In the past 10 days, I have been to three of them…with a 4th coming up on Saturday night.

Your Des Moines Menace plays in the USL2 Championship at Valley Stadium…Saturday night!

The games are so much fun…the soccer is electric…and the players are fantastic on and off the field. My soccer fanatic daughter absolutely LOVES these games…and LOVES this team.

(as you can see, my daughter my have a fav…Jordan Skelton).

Note: If you’re going to play “Chuck for a Buck” during Halftime, just know my daughter is apparently a ringer…she’s won two gift cards in the past three games. She plays to win.

If you haven’t been to the game…get out there this Saturday night…chant along with the Red Army and The Society, be there when the Menace are crowned champs!

Clap…clap…clap…clap…clap clap…clap EVERYBODY!!!!

Choose ‘Trainspotting’: Ewan McGregor and Danny Boyle reflect on the life-changing film

Ewan McGregor, for a fleeting moment after "Trainspotting" came out, felt like a rock star.
