I wanted to be excited about “Man of Steel”, but the trailers weren’t hyping me up…until this one got released yesterday…I will be there that Friday afternoon it opens…no doubt!
Weirdest FB Post I Saw This Past Weekend
It was another morning show (from another state)…and they had put this..
“What did you think of the new movie ’42’?…but don’t spoil it for everyone please.”
I saw 42…and it’s excellent (although, I thought the production quality was a little lacking…I felt like I was watching a made-for-TV movie in instead of a theatrical release).
I am going to spoil 42….Jackie Robinson plays baseball…really, really well.
I thought it was absolutely absurd that this show didn’t want the Jackie Robinson story to be spoiled. It’s a story we all know…there’s no twist at the end. (If this is all news to you, then definitely go see “42”, and learn the story of an amazing man).
Music I Can’t Get Enough Of….
Two of these will make sense…the other? No idea where it came from, but I will explain myself.
The Band Perry – Their song “Done” is my new “If I Die Young”…as in, you will catch me humming this under my breath while playing softball. I’m tempted to buy the whole album. Are they approaching (and by “they” I mean…”Kimberly Perry”) approaching Carrie Underwood-esque status for me? Heck, I even watched them on DWTS last night!
Macklemore – I only knew “Thrift Shop”, and his new single “Can’t Hold Us”, but as I’m listening to some of his other stuff, I couldn’t be becoming more of a fan. Macklemore is AWESOME (cue the Thrift Shop chorus).
And now, let’s get weird…
The Spice Girls….yes, the Girls of Spice.
I think it was because “Spice World” was on a few months ago, but something rekindled my fondness for the Spice Girls. They’ve always been great, and I understood those that hated on them, but I thought they were pop music personified…and yes, I’d go to the reunion tour…in a heartbeat.
