Kurt’s Blog: My Top 3 Grammy Performances & I’m a Sucker for Marketing

My Top 3 Performances from the Grammys

3. Taylor Swift

The headbanging was killer.

2. Katy Perry

Yes, I know Macklemore was AWESOME…and this probably wasn’t “better” than Paul & Ringo…but Paul & Ringo didn’t have witches’ brooms as stripper poles.

1. Kendrick Lamar w/ Imagine Dragons

This was incredible….it had everything.

Oh…in terms of pure singing…I thought Pink & Nate singing “Just Give Me a Reason” was a homerun. That was fantastic.

My least favorite performance?

It had to be Beyonce. Her stage show just doesn’t do anything for me…there’s nothing spontaneous about it…and it’s taken way too seriously.

Darn You Marketers

You put Miller Lite in a throw-back can, and I no longer walk around the beer section looking for something new…it’s Miller Lite…case closed

I love this can.

miller lite

I Like the Beer…But This is What my Son Likes

Okay, my 3 year old son doesn’t watch Spongebob…but somehow knows all about it…and over the weekend while celebrating my god-daughter’s 1st birthday, there was a pinata…and this fell out of it..

krabby

This is a “Krabby Patty”…and it’s a gummy hamburger. He loves him…I nearly throw up every time. I will NOT be stealing this from him.

‘Scary Movie’ tops box office, slaying ‘Masters of the Universe’ and adding to low-budget streak

The summer box office is booming — but not because of the usual suspects. After three weeks of indie horror dominance at the box office, the slasher spoof "Scary Movie" topped ticket sales with $55 million over the weekend, according to studio estimates Sunday, easily besting the far-from-mighty "Masters of the Universe."

Carolina trails Vegas in the Stanley Cup Final and has a big decision to make for Game 4

A sequence of events in a Stanley Cup Final that has gotten crazier by the minute has put the Carolina Hurricanes at a crossroads. They blew a two-goal lead and lost Game 1, erased a two-goal deficit and won Game 2, and rallied from down four goals in Game 3, only to lose in double overtime on a fluky bounce.
