Her Starbucks Gold Card arrived…baristas beware…and sorry in advance to our kids & their lack of a college fund, ha ha.

NFL

Back tonight! Broncos v. Ravens…could care less who’s playing, it just doesn’t matter…I’m just so darn happy it’s back. Run Montee Ball, run…this is why fantasy football is great…I care about Montee Ball…and very much do not care about Peyton Manning.

Also, most importantly…will NBC debut the Carrie Underwood intro tonight? Football just keeps getting better & better.

Thank you to my buddy Ry for finding this…this is AWESOME.

That’s fantastic.

3 Movies That You Should Watch

While I was taking a little break last week, I went and did something I hadn’t done in quite awhile…I caught up on some movies at home…and luckily, picked 3 winners.

The Incredible Burt Wonderstone – This movie didn’t get a lot of love, but I really liked it. It’s not a laugh-a-minute movie, but there are some extremely funny parts, and underneath it, it’s a nice, sweet movie. I thought Steve Carrell was great…and Jim Carrey is always funny.

Pain & Gain – This might be my favorite movie of the year. Mark Wahlberg & The Rock in a movie that’s based on a true story…it’s absolutely hilarious. I could not get enough of this movie…and I agree, what is a notary?

Rapture-Palooza – It stars Anna Kendrick…and Craig Robinson (formerly Daryl of The Office). I hadn’t heard of this movie before, but it looked funny…and holy cow, I was blown away. It’s so dumb…yet so good. The rapture is here, and it’s never been funnier. By the way, do not watch this movie anywhere near kids…they will learn new words.

Well, Thanks For Nothing

Dear Always Sunny in Philadelphia & The League,

You are two shows that I love (even though Always Sunny has had two lousy seasons in a row)…yet, you premiered last night…but now you’re on FXX. I don’t get FXX…I get FX…so I was more than bummed when I realized that I will not be able to watch you. Way to make sure you lose your fan base. ARRRRRRGGGGGH…swear word…swear word…swear word.

Sincerely,

Angry Kurt

(Note: I will give The League a pass…but Always Sunny, that might have been the final nail in the coffin).

The Sand Ceremony

As many of you know, I officiate weddings, and did a very fun one over the weekend…Congrats to Jon & Meggan! It was a great ceremony over at Walnut Woods/Brown Woods (which I can not for the life of me figure out the difference, hence why I drove around lost for 20 minutes, haha).

One little hiccup in the ceremony…right before the ceremony, Meggan’s mom, Cynthia, asked me “Should I put the sand in the containers for the sand ceremony?” Well, like any wedding, things get busy, so oops, we forgot. So, as I’m beginning the Sand Unity Ceremony (I don’t know why I capitalized that), I notice that there’s no sand in the smaller containers…so I stop and pour the sand, which doesn’t come out right away…then comes out all at once…so now I’m just making a mess.

Eventually, we got it figured out…but I only poured maybe an inch of sand in each container, so when Jon & Meggan went to mix it together, there was barely enough to blend together, so Jon had to pick up the bigger container and shake it vigorously. Unite, darn you, unite!

It was a great ceremony, and I was honored to officiate it!

AWESOME is as AWESOME does!
