Last summer, I posted a blog about what I learned while spending a day at Adventureland. You can click here to read it again (or for the first time).
In it…I made special note of how creepy the two dolls are that sit outside the entrance to the Sky Rider. Well, this morning, I received this box to the studio…

I opened it up…and found this envelope…

Which contained this letter…

This is all very strange and weird….then I remove the piece of foam on top…and I find this…

Yes…that’s the doll from the Sky Rider at Adventureland…the creepy, creepy doll.

Which prompted this…

As many of you will remember when I dealt with the bats…the bees…the spider…when I get truly scared…I either clam up…or get very flustered. I went with option B.
I didn’t think I had a fear of dolls…but maybe I do. These two figures that overlook the Sky Rider just make me uneasy…they seem out of place…they seem like they weren’t naturally put there. It seems like they “found” their way there.
I was uneasy the entire time it was in the studio this morning. I kept waiting for it to spring to life or something…or for myself to begin feeling ill (geez, I’ve seen too many Ghost Hunters episodes).
By the end of the day though…we had become best friends

(Note: This is not true…he seems like a nice guy…but he still has weird, supernatural powers. Powers that I dare not try and cross.)

Well done Adventureland…well done!

Adventureland is already open on the weekends…and I can’t wait for the summer…the kids have already been asking about going…and I might have already promised them “at least twice”…okay, maybe three times.
AWESOME is as AWESOME does!
