Kurt’s Blog: Spent All Night Watching Movie Trailers

Ahh…it was Comic Con weekend, which  means all the best movie trailers are premiered…and last night, after the kids went to bed, I spent a good portion of the evening watching these (oh, and Netflix’ Stranger Things, which is incredible).

Analysis:

  • There should never be another Blair Witch…just when I was finally able to pretend that I wasn’t still scared of the first one.
  • I don’t understand Dr. Strange at all.
  • I wanted to be super-excited for the Justice League one, but then I realized that I really need to brush up on who all these people are.
  • Fantastic Beasts looks fantastic…can…not…wait.
  • Wonder Woman looks like a ton of fun to go and see.
  • Kong…looks…epic…and has Samuel L. Jackson...that’s enough for me.
  • Words can not express how excited I am for Suicide Squad.

After three weeks of indie horror dominance at the box office, the slasher spoof "Scary Movie" topped ticket sales with $55 million over the weekend, according to studio estimates Sunday, easily besting the far-from-mighty "Masters of the Universe."

Carolina trails Vegas in the Stanley Cup Final and has a big decision to make for Game 4

A sequence of events in a Stanley Cup Final that has gotten crazier by the minute has put the Carolina Hurricanes at a crossroads. They blew a two-goal lead and lost Game 1, erased a two-goal deficit and won Game 2, and rallied from down four goals in Game 3, only to lose in double overtime on a fluky bounce.
