Kurt’s Blog: Stop Asking Miley Cyrus About the VMAs…Please.

Enough Already Miley

Dear Miley Cyrus,

Enough.

Just enough.

I think her “Wrecking Ball” song is AWESOME…but all the stupid video parodies of her swinging nude on the wrecking ball is taking away from the song…as is all of her interviews still revolving around her VMA performance.

Who cares? It was the VMAs…it’s not even a real award. No one puts on their tombstone “winner of 6 VMAs awards”.

Stop talking about it…and in return, media…please stop asking her about it.  Everyday…every…day…there is another story about the performance…enough. Don’t make me miss Amanda Bynes stories…no…no…I take that back…I’m not that ridiculous.

This Pic Makes Me Smile

From Jim Carrey’s Twitter, it’s a pic of him & Jeff Daniels…as Lloyd & Harry on the set of the REAL Dumb & Dumber sequel. Such good news…one of my favorite movies ever.

This Could Not Be More True

It’s the stereotypes of fantasy football players…

Cher

Cher is back…again. Although her “farewell” tour was about 10 years ago (and I think she toured after another “farewell” tour before that), she’s comin’ to the Wells Fargo Arena, June 9th.

I’ll catch grief from my friends, but I think I want to go to this show. It should be a spectacle, and I hear it’s a great live show.

Cher’s “Believe” will forever be etched in my skull…I had the idea senior year of college that during Initiation Week, the pledges would have to listen to Cher’s “Believe” non-stop for 4 days. So, there they were, all in the basement, and “Believe” played on repeat 24 hours a day…for 4 straight days. The CD player was locked in a closet….they tried to cut the power to the whole house one time, but it still played somehow.

It was a great idea…but it backfired…because all of us actives in the house could also hear the song…for 24 straight hours…4 days a week. It’s forever burned in our brains.

On the plus side, the pledges put together an amazing song & dance routine to it, so well done to them.

Modern Family

Modern Family returns tonight…whoo hoo! As does “The Middle”…which is a great show, and I need to remember to DVR that series again.

On the DVR from last night is Agents of SHIELD…and that new Malin Akerman show, “The Trophy Wife”…anyone catch these last night? What’d you think?

Great Documentary

Room 237….it’s AWESOME…and it’s free streaming on Netflix. It’s all about all the subliminal messages & hidden meanings of Stanley Kubrick’s “The Shining”. From the “fake moon landing” confession (which I don’t believe at all…we went to the moon people)…to what I thought was the coolest thing of the movie…if you watch the movie forwards…and then backwards…and super impose the images on top of each other…it matches up in a jaw-dropping fashion.

I thought it was very intriguing…and I haven’t even seen “The Shining”.

AWESOME is as AWESOME does!
