Kurt’s Blog: The Best Award Show Performances Ever?

With the Grammys on Sunday night, a list came out of the “Best Award Show Performances Ever”…and it’s a fine list…but what I thought should be #1 & #2 on the list weren’t even on the list…

Here was Billboard’s list…and again, it’s a fine list…

  1. Beyonce’s “Lemonade” Medley at the VMAs in 2016
  2. Madonna’s “Like a Virgin” at the VMAs in 1984
  3. Prince & the Revolution’s “Purple Rain” at the AMAs in 1985.

4. Aretha Frankin’s “Nessun Dorma” at the Grammys’ in 1998

5. Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi” at the VMAs in 2009.

6. Pearl Jam & Neil Young at the VMAs in 1993.

8. Kanye’s “Runaway” at the VMAs in 2010.

9. Nirvana’s “Lithium” at the VMAS in 1992.

Again, fine list….no complaints…but My Top 2 from an Awards show?
