When you think of your happy place…what’s near the top of your list?
For me…(and now my family)…it’s Universal Studios Hollywood.
I was lucky enough to go a few years back when I went for the Hawkeye Rose Bowl…and I had a blast…but I went by myself…this time around, it was much more fun.
Part of the reason to go to Hollywood? My daughter turned 7…and she wanted to meet the Grinch…and yes, the Grinch is full Grinch…and the Grinch is awesome!
Mission…accomplished.
Listen…I’d like to invite you all to my house to watch a 300+ picture slide show…but thought I’d just go with some of the highlights…
Butterbeer…is delicious…and I’m Googling homemade recipes right now. It’s cream soda-ish…but also root beer-ish…and butterscotch-ish….and about the same price as a State Fair Lemonade…and totally worth it. You do have to spend 15 minutes in line…but again…worth it.
Harry Potter World…Awesome. The ride inside Hogwarts is crazy good…and I almost threw up…my son wanted to ride it for a third time 🙂
Oh, speaking of which…you get a lot of high fives when you look like Draco Malfoy…but proudly support Gryffindor!
The lighting of Hogwarts at the end of the night is stunning.
And I met my two spirit animals….Homer Simpson…and Gru…and I was very happy.
Look…there’s Max from the Grinch…and he gets hot dogs as a treat!
Another highlight…on the backlot tour….the set is still up for The Good Place! I spent all day looking for Jason.
So…much…fun!
Can’t wait to go back…can’t…freaking…wait!
