The Most Annoying Character on TV is…

Claire Dunphy from Modern Family.

Without a doubt. Everytime she’s (and I’m referring to the character, I’m actually a fan of the actress Julie Bowen), but everytime Claire is on the screen, she just sucks all the fun comedy & fun out of the show.

I’m a big fan of Modern Family, but I just can not get into Claire’s character at all. From her constantly hoping Sofia Vergara will get fat…or always having to win…I just feel it’s unfair to Phil (who might be the best character on TV…outside of Ron Swanson of course).

Agree or not?

Note: I’m excluding all reality folks (like the Kardashians)…and I don’t watch 2 Broke Girls, because, well, it looks terrible.

Speaking of TV

Umm…The Office. What is going on? First off, I give them credit…although this season has been very weird, it does seem much, much funnier than the past few seasons.

Before I continue, Receptionist Erin could be up there for Most Annoying Character on TV…holy cow, she doesn’t say anything funny ever, yet, they continue having her drone on & on.

That said…really, they broke the 4th wall, and what…the sound guy Brian and Pam are flirting while Jim’s in Baltimore? It’s not believeable, and it’s just weird. Plus, this is the last season, right? We’re introducing new characters this late in the game? Did they not see Lost? It fails miserably.

Trisha Yearwood’s Cooking Show

So, when it’s not on Go Diego Go, Dora, or Bob the Builder, our TV is usually set on the Food Network. Sunday morning was no different…my wife really likes “The Pioneer Woman”, but to get to her, we have to suffer through Trisha Yearwood’s show.

Trisha Yearwood’s show is weird…Garth Brooks is on it sometimes…she’s always entertaining…and she always makes a big a deal out of her table setting, sort of like Sandra Lee’s show. (which we haven’t seen in quite awhile).

Anyways, on Sunday’s show, Trisha made brunch for some people…and then as they were sitting down to eat, she burst into a singing of “Amazing Grace”…like, the whole song. It was Alicia Keys’ anthem before Alicia Keys sang it. Even the people at the table had a look as if to say, “Umm…can we eat now? Our food is getting cold”. It was just bizarre.

AWESOME is as AWESOME does!
