Kurt’s Blog: Tried Pinterest Again…Shouldn’t Have

I don’t go to Pinterest…my wife does Pinterest…but sometimes I see stuff, and think, “Hey, that’s a neat idea…how hard could that be?”  Then I try it…and it fails (remember my NinjaGo cookie attempt?)

So…this is what I was going for…

leavesleaves 3

You know…leaves behind us…heads together…looking up at the falling leaves. I thought, hey, I’ll do this with the kids….get a great photo…frame it…give it to my wife…she’ll love it.

This was attempt #1 (with me in it).

Okay…cute…but not that whole “Fall is Great” thing I was hoping for. I came to the conclusion that it was my dopey smile that was messing it up.

Just a disaster. Apparently, “Alright kiddos…give me a big smile”…translates into “Go absolutely nuts”.

After 10 minutes of this nonsense…we went back inside, and they had pumpkin spice lattes (Note: it’s chocolate milk, with whipped cream, with a crumbled Pumpkin spice Oreo cookie on top).

Fall…we tried. Pinterest…we tried.

AWESOME is as AWESOME does!
