I’m Over Twinkies
Well, sort of like Arrested Development…I’m over Twinkies. There was all this build up…build up, build up, build up…Twinkies are coming back! Then they did, and there were Twinkies everywhere! So much so, that I think I’m burned out on them already. I mean, I won’t turn one down, but they’re definitely everywhere.
I make the Arrested Development analogy because it was the same thing…for 3 years, there was an Arrested Development movement to get it back on TV…and then when Netflix announced it was coming, people counted down the days…then it was released…everyone watched all the episodes over the course of one weekend, and it just went away.
Speaking of Watching Every Episode
I completed the last episode of Season 5 of Breaking Bad…I’m all caught up and ready for 8/11. Holy cow. AWESOME. Did I finished 55 episodes in about a month? Wow…and who says I go overboard on things? Ha!

Sad Day at the Blank Park Zoo
Giavivi, one of the two female lions at the Blank Park Zoo, passed away yesterday. She was 16, and was dealing with an aggressive form of cancer. I told my 3-year old about this, and he got a sad look and said “Cha Cha’s girlfriend?” The kid never forgets anything I say, whoa.
Plain White Ts
A great show tnoight over at Woolys, as Star 102.5 presents the Plain White Ts! It’s going to be a great show, and I still have “Should Have Gone to Bed” still playing over & over in my head (which is fantastic because before that, the Sofia the First/Jake & the Neverland Pirates medley of “Be What You Wanna Be” was on constant repeat).

Planes
So, this weekend, I’m going to take Dexter to his first movie…Monsters University, of course. I think he’ll really like it….and we know he’ll really like “Planes” when that comes out. I know this because as I was watching the All-Star Game last night, a trailer for Planes came on….and then it went to the game…Dexter looks at me and says “Go back to my show”. Yep, he was hooked. Hello massive amounts of Planes stuff.
Concert Alert:
Rascal Flatts is coming to the Wells Fargo Arena on 10/25 .It’ll, of course, be a good show…but more importantly, Kimberly Perry is opening for them! Oh, Kimberly Perry and the two guys she brings along with…they’re a band of some sort…something Perry.
