Fuller House is on Netflix starting to tomorrow.
It’s time to look back and appreciate my first TV crush…for some of my friends it was Tracey Gold from Growing Pains…for all my others, it was Candace Cameron…DJ Tanner.
By the time I got to the age of 11/12…it was DJ Tanner near the top of my “list” (Elle Macpherson & Kathy Ireland were up there too…but they weren’t near my age, so that was pretty unattainable).
She was cute….relatable…the poofy hair/bangs combo…and funny. Complete package. Even though I couldn’t relate to all of her teenage girl issues…the show did such a good job at making that relate-able to guys as well.
Who can forget DJ’s driving lesson?
This is exactly how it was driving with my dad…to be honest, I still feel this way when my dad is in the shotgun seat.
Now time for DJ Tanner tributes…
And this tribute needs to be shared as well
I’m excited…and hesitant at the same time…for “Fuller House”. It’ll still be funny…it’ll feel nostalgic, but I worry that much of it is going to fall flat. The reunion shows are tricky…as we’ve now seen all of these actors go on to do more (and better) things.
I never thought I’d meet Dave Coulier…I’ve met Uncle Joey twice. He’s still Uncle Joey to me, but now to know the backstory about Alanis Morrisette’s “You Oughta Know”…it’s just all different, ya know?
Despite my concerns…it’s in my queue right now…and I’ll be excited to hear the theme song starting up tomorrow morning.
AWESOME is as AWESOME does!
