Kurt’s Blog: Well…Go Ahead and Add Octopus on My List

Alright…here they are…what I’m afraid of:

1. Bees

2. Bats

3. Spiders

DSC02133

4. Snakes

5. Really anything that has a stinger

6. Jellyfish

7. Cicadas

Oh, and the list could go on and on…but do you know what I’m going to throw on the list…near the top?

The OCTOPUS.

I’m terrified of most things with more than 4 legs….8 legs? That’s double the terror.

Seriously…this was terrifying a few weeks ago…

I mean…this crab is a goner….never to be seen again. I don’t know what sort of “home” an octopus resides in…but it has to be terrifying.

How is thing walking on land? Good Lord….good….Lord.

And…then, there’s this video from the Seattle Aquarium. It’s an octopus trying to escape (okay, the aquarium says it was just the octopus trying to explore his new surroundings, and was just interested in the ridge…but I don’t believe that nonsense. What happens if the octopus just goes 3 inches further? Yep…octopus on the loose.)

NEVER…NEVER…do a YouTube search for Octopus. It’s a wormhole of videos of nothing but octopus eating things…or doing things that only the devil could dream of. It’s terrifying.

Octopus…the nightmare of the sea.
