Kurt’s Blog: Why Tonight’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show Always Makes Me Laugh

Tonight on CBS is the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show…

I won’t watch…why? It’s boring.

But, here’s what makes me laugh every year. My friends…Sully, Eric, and a handful of others will send emails out reminding the rest of me & my friends that it’s on tonight, like it’s some sort of major event.

Their premise is that “anything can happen”…and “you never know”. They definitely have the assumption that there will be nip-slips & possible boobage.

I try to tell them…it’s not “LIVE”…they taped it two weeks ago, and trust me…the CBS folks have gone through it over & over again looking for any possible slip. It ain’t going to happen….but don’t try and convince my idiot friends of this.

These were the same guys that made “Girls Jumping on Trampoline” (from The Man Show) appointment setting TV. “You never know what’s going to happen”. Yes…I will…you will annoy me…no boobs…and then you will complain that there were no boobs.

That being said…I’ll probably watch…there might be boobs this year!

‘Scary Movie’ tops box office, slaying ‘Masters of the Universe’ and adding to low-budget streak

The summer box office is booming — but not because of the usual suspects. After three weeks of indie horror dominance at the box office, the slasher spoof "Scary Movie" topped ticket sales with $55 million over the weekend, according to studio estimates Sunday, easily besting the far-from-mighty "Masters of the Universe."

Carolina trails Vegas in the Stanley Cup Final and has a big decision to make for Game 4

A sequence of events in a Stanley Cup Final that has gotten crazier by the minute has put the Carolina Hurricanes at a crossroads. They blew a two-goal lead and lost Game 1, erased a two-goal deficit and won Game 2, and rallied from down four goals in Game 3, only to lose in double overtime on a fluky bounce.
