State of Iowa – Governor Reynolds has issued a State of Public Health Disaster Emergency declaration activating public health response changes, adjusting some laws for transportation, and closing many establishments in the state. Restaurants and bars may now only do pick-up, drive-through, and delivery. All theaters and performance centers are closed. All Senior and Adult Daycare Centers are closed. And, gatherings of more than 10 people – anywhere, public or private – are prohibited. This is enforceable by the law. The full declaration, which is very detailed and affects many industries, can be found here. The declaration currently goes through March 31. It has now been extended to April 30 – including schools.
