Dream Big Always for Emmalynn is raising  funds for Emmalynn Matthies, 4 year old daughter of Ben & Elizabeth Matthies, will be going through a 2nd Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) this spring. Emmalynn was born with a rare, chronic, and severe form of anemia known as Diamond Blackfan Anemia (DBA). DBA is a form of bone marrow failure where Emmalynn’s body is unable to produce blood. Em has been living off frequent blood transfusions since before birth. The BMT will enable Emmalynn’s body to produce her own blood, therefore eliminating the need for transfusions. The proceeds of this event will help Emmalynn and her family with uninsured expenses as they relocate to Minneapolis for 4-6 months for Emmalynn’s BMT treatment.
