March 7, 2015 - 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Vineyard Community Church
2332 Euclid Ave

The Vineyard women’s ministry is hosting a prom dress edition of the popular reality television wedding dress show. This event is for high school girls in the Des Moines community to come and peruse for a free dress, shoes, and accessories for their spring prom. There will also be a raffle for one girl and her friend to get their hair done for prom. Although this event sounds like it is about making the girls feel and look beautiful on the outside; our true goal is to make connections with young women in our community and for them to leave our church feeling beautiful, worthy, and loved by and AMAZING God on the inside.

This year Gary Palmer, CEO of Prairie Meadows and Terry Hadley, COO of Casey’s are competing in a “HAIR RAISING CHALLENGE”!  Whoever raises the most funds will not have to shave and will have the pleasure of shaving the loser’s head.  Brian and Mary Lohse have also generously agreed to match funds raised up to $75,000!

We will have live and silent auction items and are still accepting donations for auction items.  Last year we shaved 106 heads and still have some open availability for shavees.  If you would like to sign up to shave your head please go to the St. Baldrick’s website.  There is no charge to attend this event.
